Whitney Houston's ex-husband Bobby Brown opens up about the singer's death. Bobby says he does not think Houston's death was caused by her drug use.
In a recent interview, Bobby was asked to share what he thinks was the most misunderstood thing about Houston. He said that a lot of people are convinced that she died from drugs. Bobby then said that he believes Houston passed away due to her broken heart.
Bobby's wife, Alicia Etheredge, who also happens to be his manager, said that toxicology reports confirmed there were drugs in Houston's system when she died. Bobby still stood firmly by his belief that the reports may not have been accurate.
The interviewer also asked Bobby what is the one thing about him that is most misunderstood by others. He said that a lot of people think that he is a bad person.
"I've been through my scrapes and I've been through some bad times, but as far as my heart is concerned, my heart is pure," said Bobby.
Whitney Houston, Bobbi Kristina Brown's Deaths
Houston passed away on Feb. 11, 2012, and based on toxicology reports, she suffered from coronary artery disease. The singer was found unconscious in her bathtub at the Beverly Hilton hotel.
The "I Will Always Love You" singer and Bobby's daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown, passed away on July 16, 2015. Bobbi, who was only 22 years old at the time of her death, was also found unconscious in her bathtub at home in Georgia.
Bobby also talked about his daughter's demise and said that Nick Gordon should be put behind bars. The latter was found legally responsible for Bobbi's death three years ago.
Bobby also said in the same interview that he and his family could only say that they have found justice once Gordon is locked up somewhere. The 49-year-old singer-songwriter added that Gordon should be raped so he will know what it feels like to be in so much pain.
"He raped me by taking my daughter away," said Bobby.
Alex Reid Opens Up About The Couple's Relationship
Bobbi's ex-boyfriend, Gordon, was also accused of physically abusing her. One of Bobbi's friends, Alex Reid, previously revealed that Bobbi was so scared of Gordon.
"She was sobbing. Nick had hit her and she was scared. She was very upset. She didn't know what to do. It was as if she didn't have anyone else to turn to. It was heartbreaking," said Reid.
