Just yesterday, Music Times reported that the legendary Eric Clapton unveiled audio for two tracks off his new album The Breeze: An Appreciation of JJ Cale – "Cajun Moon" and "Call Me The Breeze." Now, he's released "Don't Wait," which features the always-entertaining ex-of Katy Perry, John Mayer.

This coming July 29 marks the day Clapton's newest record drops.

While the former Cream member has made his plans to end touring after his prior engagements known to the public, he does say that there is more JJ Cale music coming from him in the future, even after the release of his forthcoming album – as Billboard reports.

On the new music, Clapton states, "Well, I have to finish them. It would be wrong not to bring them to a finished point."

Slowhand initially birthed the idea for The Breeze: An Appreciation of JJ Cale when he was heading to Cale's funeral back in August 2013. "It just seemed to be a logical progression I would do. I was aware of the fact that he's better known in Europe and in the rest of the world than he is in America. That's a bad thing, but it also means I have an opportunity to introduce people to him beyond [the Cale songs] I've recorded. It's astonishing to me that nobody knows anything about him, and it baffles me. I wonder, 'What is it about his stuff that gets to me that nobody else is hearing?' I don't know. I still don't understand that."

Aside from John Mayer, The Breeze will feature guests Tom Petty, Derek Trucks, Willie Nelson and Mark Knopfler.
