Celine Dion will not be performing in Las Vegas for the next couple of weeks while she recovers from a "minimally invasive surgical procedure."

On Facebook, she announced that her performances scheduled from March 27 until April 18 in The Colosseum at Caesars Palace have been canceled. She is expected to return to performing live at the Las Vegas venue on Tuesday, May 22.

"Celine has been dealing with a condition in her middle ear known as Patulous Eustachian tube, which causes hearing irregularities, and makes it extremely difficult to sing," the post read. "She has been experiencing this condition for the past 12-18 months but it has been successfully treated with various ear drop medications. During the past couple of weeks these medications have no longer been working to treat the condition."

Fans who have already purchased tickets to the performances will be fully refunded.

"My luck hasn't been very good lately... I've been so looking forward to doing my shows again and this happens... I just can't believe it!" The 49-year-old said in a statement. "I apologize to everyone who planned to travel to Las Vegas to see my show. I know how disappointing this is, and I'm so sorry."

In Need Of Rest

This is not the first time this year that the "My Heart Will Go On" singer had to cancel shows because she was feeling under the weather. According to People, in January, she apologized to fans who drove all the way to Las Vegas to see her live after canceling a couple of performances.

At the time, she explained that her doctor advised her not to perform due to a throat inflammation. When she returned, she met and took a photo with super fan Adele

Dion signed up to a critically acclaimed Las Vegas residency in The Colosseum at the Caesars Palace back in March 2011. For this year, the singer has live performances scheduled until the second week of June, according to her official website

On Tuesday, the "The Power of Love" singer performed, probably for the last time before her ear surgery, during her mother Therese Tanguay-Dion's 91st birthday party. See their photo below.
