Pearl Jam recently performed Neil Young's 1989 hit, "Rockin' In The Free World," with Chad Smith and Josh Klinghoffer of Red Hot Chili Peppers in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The over five-minute clip of their performance was posted on YouTube. Eddie Vedder, Pearl Jam's lead vocalist, tossed several tambourines into the crowd. He also doused himself with a gigantic bottle of wine.

Pearl Jam will wrap its South American tour at the Lollapalooza Brazil this weekend. Smith and Red Hot Chili Peppers are also scheduled to perform. Following its South American tour, Pearl Jam will kick off its European tour, as well as a short tour in the United States.

Earlier this March, the band also made headlines after it released its new song, "Can't Deny Me." The protest song seemingly focuses on President Donald Trump.

The track also happens to the be first original song that Pearl Jam released since its 10th studio album, Lightning Bolt.

Eddie Vedder Talks About 'Jeremy'

Last year, Vedder's 1991 interview about the song "Jeremy" resurfaced. When asked if the song is about his childhood experience, Vedder said that the title was actually from a newspaper article.

"And then when I went to write about it, I thought of actually getting a hold of what the actual person it was written about, but then I thought that would be intruding. And I totally related because I had a very similar experience with a kid who I grew with. I didn't really grow up with; I just had a couple of instances with him and he ended to be a, you know, kind of a... I mean, he freaked out," said Vedder.
