Tom Wolf, the governor of Pennsylvania, makes a stand regarding Meek Mill. The rapper is currently behind bars for a probation violation.

Mill has been jailed since November, and he is expected to remain behind bars in the next two to four years. On Friday, Wolf shared his thoughts via his Twitter account.

"I support D.A. Larry Krasner's position in the case of Robert Williams (Meek Mill). Our criminal justice system is in need of repair. That's why my admin has made efforts to invest in programs that divert individuals from the system, improve public safety, and promote fairness," wrote Wolf.

In a follow-up tweet, Wolf also encouraged the PA General Assembly to pass the Justice Reinvestment II reforms so that all types of issues may be easily addressed.

Meek Mill's Interview Behind Bars

Last week, Mill shared how he thinks the justice system has failed him. Ten years ago, Judge Genece Brinkley convicted him on drug and gun counts brought by a disgraced cop. Since then, Brinkley has sent Mill to prison twice. She most recently jailed the rapper for a series of minor infractions.

In August, Mill was involved in another controversy after he asked a crowd of kids riding their dirt bikes if he could try one, and they agreed. The next day, he was stopped by the New York Police District to investigate the matter.

At the time, Mill was charged with a felony count and reckless endangerment, but it was later on reduced to a misdemeanor and was ultimately dismissed.

Meek Mill Talks About Judge Genece Brinkley

Mill also recounted one of the conversations she shared with Brinkley. During one of his court hearings, Mill's ex-girlfriend, Nicki Minaj, accompanied him. When Brinkley saw the singer, she asked them to cover Boyz II Men's "On Bended Knee," but they refused.

"The judge said, 'I am not the monster you think I am. In fact, a lot of people look up to me.' F****** Nicki busts out laughing, but I grabbed her leg, going, 'Yo, this is my life here.' I tried to tell the judge, 'All respect, but that ain't me. I'm a Philly street rapper, not a bubblegum dude.' She says, 'Fine, then,' in a real sarcastic way," said Mill.
