Luke Bryan is looking out for his fellow American Idol judge Katy Perry who, reportedly, has reunited with her ex-boyfriend Orlando Bloom.

In a recent interview, the country singer gave a stern warning to the Lord of the Rings actor: do not break Perry's heart.

While neither Perry nor Bloom has admitted their relationship, the two seemingly confirmed that they are back together last month when the actor accompanied his popstar girlfriend to Rome to meet the Pope. In her Instagram posts, Perry documented their short trip together, cuddling at the Colosseum and fooling around with the Pontifical Swiss Guards in Vatican City.

Bryan said that he will not hesitate to play Legolas and bring out his own bow and arrow if he ever sees Perry crying.

"I haven't met Orlando yet to suss him out, check this guy out," said the country singer. "If he hurts my little sister — I mean, he just thinks all that bow shooting he did on Lord of the Rings... I got some real-world bows."

This was not the first time that Bryan has come out and defended his friend and co-worker in the media. He also spoke about the controversy surrounding the "Fireworks" singer back in March when she drew backlash for kissing a male contestant.

This just goes to show that the judges are friendly behind the scenes, too.

In the same interview, Bryan stated that he is having a blast hanging out with Perry and Lionel Richie and finding the next American Idol.

"The main thing is... I think we're having a blast," said the "I'm having a blast. It hits on all the emotions. That we got to make albums, tour, and do this, too. This is, like, so fun to come and watch these kids grow."
