Death Cab for Cutie previews new song "Your Hurricane" on its social media accounts. The track will be featured on the group's upcoming album.

The 33-second teaser for "Your Hurricane" features simple animation of yellowish green clouds. "Watch this space," captioned Death Cab for Cutie. The three words seemingly urged fans to tune in to the upcoming release of the song's full version.

Ben Gibbard, Death Cab for Cutie's vocalist, sings in the track. His somber tone makes the message of the track more impactful. "Your Hurricane" is about wishing someone to be alright.

"Heaven is a hole in the sky/ The stars are cracks in the ceiling of night/ And I just keep watching them for a sign/ That you'll be alright," sang Gibbard.

Ben Gibbard Talks About His Songs

Gibbard recently talked about Death Cab for Cuties songs, as well as the tracks that he has written. Throughout the years, his songs have become less about his scars and more about positive melodies and broader topics.

"I decided a handful of years ago that I just want to write songs that you can understand as soon as you put the record on. There's no need to veil what's happening in the song the way I used to. My goal as a songwriter now is to simply write memorable turns of phrase," said Gibbard.

Band's Albums, Tracks

Death Cab for Cutie has released eight studio albums, namely, Transatlanticism, Plans, Narrow Stairs, Codes and Keys, The Photo Album, We Have the Facts and We're Voting Yes, Something About Airplanes, and Kintsugi.

Some of the band's most popular songs are "I Will Follow You Into the Dark," "Soul Meets Body," "I Will Possess Your Heart," and "Black Sun."
