Long live the '90s! Mel B confirms that her popular all-female pop group, Spice Girls, will be reuniting and going on tour.

The singer and television personality revealed the good news in a recent interview with Today. She told host Hoda Kotb that the long-rumored concert tour is actually happening soon.

Mel B Confirms Spice Girls Reunion Tour

"I still do [love performing]," the 43-year-old shared. "I'm the only one that keeps on saying, 'We're gonna be performing,' which we are gonna be performing. Finally, they got it together."

Her new statement is in contrast to what Victoria Beckham, also known as Posh Spice, said about the possibility of a reunion tour earlier this year. The fashion designer shot down rumors that the group has plans to return onstage and tour the world one more time.

"I'm not touring," she said. "The girls aren't touring."

In response, Mel B said that Beckham is hiding the truth. America's Got Talent judge argued that her former colleague and friend is always saying that the tour is not happening.

"Yes, we are going to be doing performances together," the British star reiterated. "For sure."

The news comes after the group has reportedly agreed to reunite and perform at the royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in May. However, Mel C revealed that not everyone got an invite to the event and no performance was scheduled at the reception.

The rumor also started when Beckham posted a photo of herself together with Mel B, Mel C, Emma Bunton, and Geri Halliwell on Instagram. At the time, The Sun via Harper's Bazaar reported that the girls will reunite for a new project and each of them will be paid about £10 million or about $14 million.

The publication said something about television projects including a talent show, and endorsement deals. A greatest hits compilation album might also be released, but no tour was scheduled.

How The Spice Girls Fell Apart

On May 31, 1998, Halliwell shocked the world when she announced that she was leaving the Spice Girls. Ginger Spice told the press at the time that she was exhausted from performing during their world tour and would like to take a break.

She even hinted several times that she plans to come back and reunite with the other girls. However, a year later, she released her solo debut album Schizophonic.

The four remaining girls continued and finished their world tour. They released the song "Goodbye" and their third album titled Forever. Shortly after, they disbanded and launched solo careers.

Last year, Halliwell apologized for leaving the group two decades ago but said that she does not regret the decision.
