Montreality recently caught up with YG and the West Coast rapper spilled the beans on everything from his jobs as a teenager to his theory on Tupac and Nate Dogg's hip-hop legacy.

During the interview, the "Left, Right" rapper half-jokingly said he believes Tupac is alive.

"Pac aint dead, that's how I feel," he said. "What up, Pac! My n***a out here somewhere. Out here chillin'."

When asked about Nate Dogg, YG said he left a lasting impression on hip-hop and no one will be able to replace him.

"Nate Dogg did something to the game I don't think nobody else could ever do," he said. "His voice and how he did stuff on a track, it's a 1 of 1."

YG also went on to give his explanation for the why the West Coast is running hip-hop, name-dropping frequent collaborators like Nipsey Hussle, Dom Kennedy and DJ Mustard.

The Def Jam signee said the "realest" thing he ever wrote was pretty much his entire album. After a second thought, he narrowed it down to "Sorry Momma," a track written for his mother as an apology for his mischief as a teen.

At the end of the interview, YG even offered up a message for the youth.

"Follow your dreams, chase your dreams," he said. "Live your life, be yourself. That's my message. Stay safe, strap up. Protect yourself, watch your surroundings. And take care of your family if you're in a position to. Keep it 400."
