LOS ANGELES (US NEWS/AP) - In the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, Vanessa Hudgens apologizes for her insensitive Instagram live feed about the coronavirus issue. Meanwhile, Miley Cyrus and Demi Lovato are not friends again and are practicing social interaction while doing social distancing.

Vanessa's Apology

Actress and High School Musical star Vanessa Hudgens issues an apology to her followers regarding her live feed last Monday when she criticized the efforts to contain the coronavirus, thus downplaying the outbreak.

"I realize my words were insensitive and not at all appropriate for the situation our country and the world are in right now," Vanessa said on Twitter last Tuesday. "This has been a huge wake up call about the significance my words have, now more than ever."

Last Monday, Vanessa said on her Instagram live feed that the coronavirus is just a virus, and that people can get it and die from it. She also laughed during her live feed, making many people angry at her seemingly insensitive comment.

Many called her a psychopath, sociopath, and Journalist Yashar Ali said in his tweet that she gave a "heartless message" to young fans.

Aside from apologizing on Instagram, Vanessa also said sorry to her fans on Twitter about what she said. As of this writing, there are more than 7,500 cases of COVID-19 in America with deaths still at 58 according to the World Health Organization.

Miley and Demi's Social Interaction and Social Distancing

The International Business Times reports that Disney singers Miley Cyrus and Demi Lovato have reconciled. Their friendship is now back on its tracks as they appeared on Instagram Live Chat. The two were having an on and off friendship and their feed demonstrated that they can do social interaction while also doing social distancing.

As the coronavirus spreads, many people, many celebrities are now focusing on their self-quarantine measures. Miley, meanwhile, is trying to be active by engaging with her fans, and Demi had "joined the chat" and talked about their friendship according to the article by People Magazine.

Miley discussed her body image as well. She revealed that she stopped wearing skirts during the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards. She performed on the awards night alongside Robin Thicke, and the reason behind her stopping in wearing skirts is due to the body shaming she experienced.

Demi had no idea about the issue and told her friend to call her if the incident happens again.

They also raised issues like the quarantine measures, and they give some positive vibes to their fans who are in quarantine or a lockdown at the moment.

Though Miley and Demi showed themselves to each other and their fans, they did not do some performances unlike John Legend, Chris Martin, David Foster, and many other artists. These entertainers continue to give joy to their fans in the midst of today's coronavirus pandemic.
