Not to be stopped, the slimy Nickelodeon's "Kids' Choice Awards" will finally take place on May 2, Saturday at 8 pm ET/ 5 pm PT.  Victoria Justice will be hosting the event on a remote arrangement.

The original schedule for the show was on March 22, but due to the mandatory social distancing caused by the coronavirus, it had to be postponed.  Donning with a new title, "Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Awards 2020: Celebrate Together,"  it becomes the first major award show on a big scale to be broadcasted virtually. 

"Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Awards 2020: Celebrate Together" will feature celebrities around the world through their video appearances.  The line-up of guests includes Ariana Grande, Kristen Bell, Millie Bobbie Brown, BTS, Camila Cabello, Dove Cameron, Ellen DeGeneres, David Dobrik, Bill Fagerbakke, Josh Gad, Tom Holland, Dwayne Johnson, Tom Kenny, Shawn Mendes,  Lil Nas X, SpongeBob SquarePants stars Tom Kenny and Bill Fagerbakke, and YouTuber gamer SSSniperWolf.

Ariana Grande is nominated under two categories: Favorite Female Artist and her song "7 Rings," under Favorite Song.  The Kpop famous boyband, BTS, is a nominee under Favorite Music Group and Favorite Global Music Star categories.

Adding to the excitement for the night, the cast members of "Avengers: Endgame" will have a special appearance.  The film is one of those nominated under the Favorite Movie category.  Teen sensation Jojo Siwa will have a segment with slime around her house.  Asher Angel, the young actor in the movie "Shazam!" will be performing for the event. Both Siwa and Angel are nominees for Favorite Social Music Star. 

Nickelodeon's new live-action series "The Astronauts" will also be featured with a sneak peek.  The new show is the first production of the cable channel with Imagine Kids+Family.

The annual "Kids' Choice Awards" will not just feature the awarding, the videos of the special guests and the much-awaited signature green so-much-slime.  Nickelodeon, as part of its social contribution, will also be presenting a donation to the non-profit organization, No Kid Hungry amounting to a huge $1 million.  The outreach aims to support hungry children and their families who have been deprived of their daily meals in schools due to the closure caused by the pandemic.   

For this year, the Generation Change Award will be given to LeBron James.  He will receive the honor for the basketball superstar's commitment and dedicated work towards education through the I Promise School based in his hometown of Akron, Ohio.  The public elementary school, specifically founded to address the needs of at-risk students and their families, is supported by the LeBron James Family Foundation.

Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards (KCA) is an annual event produced by Nickelodeon, the first cable channel created for children through ViacomCBS cable network.  The awards show honors the year's most popular music, television, movie, and sports acts selected through online voting by the young fans and viewers across the globe via Nickelodeon networks.  

The first KCA debuted on April 18, 1988, and has greatly evolved over the years.  The green slime stunts most famous in KCA's were introduced in 2002.
