Pharrell Williams, Ariana Grande and Soundgarden will be helping football fans kick this season off right on September 4. The three major acts are slated to perform for the NFL season opener at CenturyLink Field in Seattle, where the Seattle Seahawks will play against the Green Bay Packers for the first football game of the 2014 season.

Pharell and Soundgarden will be performing a free concert outside of the gates to the stadium an hour before the game begins. Soundgarden will certainly be an act to see, as it is part of the original iconic grunge scene in Seattle, one of the city's claims to fame. They will be the opener for Pharrell, whose hit song "Happy" has dominated the radio and music charts since its release. It is the first track in 57 years to hit the No. 1 Official Singles Chart three times over.

The concert is free, and will be located at the CenturlyLink Field North Plaza. The area will be open to the public two hours before the concert begins, and performances will be shown on the NFL Network .

Ariana Grande was chosen to sing the national anthem before kickoff (at 5:30 p.m. PT). Her performance and the entire game will be nationally televised.

The Seahawks are the defending 2013 Super Bowl Champions. The last time the Seahawks and Packers faced each other at CenturyLink Field was in the 2012 season, when the Seahawks won 14-12 with a dramatic finish. This game marks the start of the NFL's 95th annual football season.
