Every year, the Academy Awards releases its shortlist of nominees for the Best Original Song Category, and for the Oscars 2022 - its roster are no less than WHOOPING Grammy Award-winning artists! 

15 songs made it to the cut for the Oscars 2022's Best Original Song Category. A-List Celebrities like Ariana Grande, Jennifer Hudson, and Billie Eillish are up and running for the prestigious award!

Powerhouse Couple Beyonce and Jay Z are going head-to-head for the same category.

Queen B herself is nominated for her song "Be Alive" from the Reinaldo Green biopic "King Richard" who also managed to get a Best Original Score nod by the Academy.

Meanwhile, Jay Z, who is also co-producing Netflix's Western "The Harder They Fall", is also on the shortlist for his song "Guns Go Bang". 

Arianators are going wild as Popstar Ariana Grande's name is seen on the same Academy shortlist for her collaboration with Kid Cudi on the song "Just Look Up" for their upcoming film "Don't Look Up". Grande also stars on the same film as "Riley Bina", a popstar like the singer herself, who's one of the central characters in the movie.

2020 Grammy Best New Artist Billie Eilish founds herself on the same A-list pool for her song "No Time To Die" for Daniel Craig's final outing as James Bond on the movie with the same name.

On the other hand, Lin Manuel Miranda is one Oscar away from achieving EGOT status as he already has an Emmy, Grammy, and Tony, all for his groundbreaking work in Hamilton. The hitmaker's "Dos Oruguitas" from Disney's "Encanto" might be the key for the 41-year old to finally bag an Oscar Award. Encanto is set on a magical mountain in Colombia inhabited by the Madrigal family.

U2 also received a nod for "Your Song Saved My Life" from "Sing 2" and Amandla Stenberg for "Anonymous Ones" from Pasek and Paul's "Dear Evan Hansen"

Broadway Icon Idina Menzel's fantastic performance on the song "Dream Girl" from the movie "Cinderalla" wasn't unnoticed as she was also on the same shortlist that Oscars announced.

Music icons Jennifer Hudson and Carole King who both co-penned "Here I Am (Singing My Way Home)", the only original song featured in the  Aretha Franklin biopic, "RESPECT" managed to find themselves as well on the star-studded list.
