Despite no longer being the custodian of Britney Spears' estate, her father Jamie is seeking more from her daughter.

Jamie Spears filed petitions this week to have Britney's estate continue to pay his legal bills despite being suspended from her conservatorship in September, according to Variety.

According to the filings, the father of three is asking the court for "confirmation, authorisation, and direction" to compel the estate to pay for attorneys who are helping him with his ongoing "fiduciary obligations connected to winding up" the conservatorship.

However, Britney Spears' lawyer Mathew Rosengart stated in a statement to Page Six on Monday that Jamie "reaped many millions of dollars" from his daughter while paying his attorneys "millions more," all of which came from Britney Spears' hard-earned money and hard labor.

Jamie's petition is not only "legally meritless," according to the lawyer, but it is also "an atrocity."

"Britney spoke movingly about the grief her father inflicted on her, and this only adds to it." This is not what a loving father does for his daughter."

As previously reported, the "Baby One More Time Hitmaker" was compelled to pay Jamie's bills for the duration of her 13-year conservatorship, which had total authority over her life.

She had previously been obliged to pay not just for her father's legal bills, but also for her own fight for freedom.

Jamie's lawyer, according to Variety, costs $1,200 per hour. Though it was not clear who of his lawyers was cited in the article, Alex Weingarten is known to have charged that amount.

"Prompt payment on account of Jamie's attorneys' costs is required to guarantee the Conservatorship may be wound up swiftly and effectively to allow Britney to resume control of her life as she and Jamie wish," the 27-page petition said.

"It would be counter to public policy if Jamie's years of commitment to safeguard his daughter... may lead to personal bankruptcy and ruin fighting spurious allegations," the statement continued.

They also mentioned how no one would want to be a conversator if the conservatee is forcing the conversatee to pay their own legal bills while defending "unfounded claims."

Jamie Spears obtained a $40,000 loan from Lou Taylor's firm, Tri Star Sports and Entertainment Group, only days before Britney was placed under conservatorship in 2008, according to the New York Times.

Jamie hasn't revealed where he put or used the money he borrowed.
