It's another 2022 tour that gets canceled because of the COVID-19 Omicron surge.

The Pussycat Dolls lead singer Nicole Scherzinger may have stayed true to one of their biggest hits, "Hush Hush" when telling her other group members about the cancellation of their supposed Reunion Tour.

Scherzinger revealed the news on her Instagram Story last January 7, 2022. The tour, also known as "The Unfinished Business Tour", was axed because of the "ever-evolving circumstances surrounding the pandemic".

Nicole, "saddened" about the cancellation, says that she has invested a "huge amount of time, creative energy" and owns finances to bring the comeback to life.

The 43-year old singer also took the time to pen a sweet shoutout to the group's fans and to her fellow bandmates, Jessica Sutta, Carmit Bachar, Ashley Roberts, Melody Thornton, and Kimberly Wyatt.

The 'pussycat' is out of the bag

After everyone on the internet found out the news of the reunion tour, it seemed like the other dolls only found out about the cancellation at the same time the fans did.

In a joint Instagram post, Carmit Bachar and Jessica Sutta shared how "incredibly disappointed" they are, finding out about their scrapped tour on Instagram.

Not the outcome the two had hoped for, Carmit and Jessica thanked fans for their "unconditional support" in the same Instagram post, saying that they have waited "so long" for an answer on the resumption of their tour, but what happened is "unfortunately" out of their control.

The two also revealed that no official notification yet had been published on the cancellation of the "Pussycat Dolls Reunion Tour" other than Scherzinger's post.

Aside from that, the two hinted that they had "big dreams" for the brand to expand on their music to feature more of the other's voices. The two-page post ended with Carmit and Jessica explaining that the tour may have ended, but it is "not the end of the doll's story".

Earlier this year, the future of the tour was called into question when the group's founder Robin Antin filed a lawsuit, saying Nicole was refusing to participate unless she was given complete creative control over the group's relaunch, in addition to a more significant portion of revenues.

As a result, her attorney Howard King dismissed the allegations as "ludicrous and false," alleging that the complaint was "a desperate attempt to divert blame for her own failures by trying to impose obligations on Nicole that simply do not exist."
