Nicki Minaj has just spoken up about her thoughts on why she won't work with the duo City Girls.

A snippet of an interview with the "Super Bass" hitmaker was shared on the official Instagram account of "The Morning Hustle" radio show on Wednesday, February 2. And during her visit to the show, it seems like she has just hinted that collaboration won't happen anytime soon.

Minaj revealed in the show that she was eager to jump on one of their songs. However, she was aware of some harsh comments by the music duo, JT and Yung Miami, about her in interviews and past tweets.

The Morning Hustle With Nicki Minaj

The Trinidadian rapper was questioned about a group that mentioned her name and expressed interest in working with her.

Minaj was seen rolling her eyes out for the question, which has brought the hosts Headkrack and Lore'l into laughter, assuming that it must have already happened.

But, the "Fractions" singer first answered, "Well, I don't know," and followed an explanation saying, "I was thinking about jumping on one of their records at that time."

She also said with a sigh, "But then social media happened, when people say things about someone like an artist, whether they tweet it or say it."

"So, as an artist and a human being first, if I, as just a regular human, was about to go to dinner with you tonight and then I get something that says, 'Yo, she don't really f-ck with you like that, she was saying this and she don't really like you, and she said she hopes you actually never pop or never flourish'...," Minaj further explained, "I'm not gonna go out to dinner with you anymore because now I know that I like you, but you don't really like me."

When one of the hosts spoke, "It's hard to let that go," the rapper responded, "It's let go. It's let's go, but it's about, why would I work with somebody who doesn't like me?"

Following the released clip, the New York-based rapper has cleared the air on social media and revealed that she and the duo had put all the negative issues behind.

After the interview, she tweeted an update about having a "great convo" with JT and Yung Miami, saying, "Just had a great convo with @ThegirlJT & @YungMiami305. Let's move on & make new memories y'all," she wrote.

And this is followed by a response from both of them as well.
