George Clinton is ready to conquer the stage again as the musician broke his retirement once more.

After being on-and-off the stage, Clinton confirmed on Monday that he was coming out of retirement this year, thanks to his upcoming Parliament-Funkadelic tour.

As reported by Rolling Stone, Clinton revealed his participation in the 17-stop tour across the country this summer. It would happen years after holding his farewell tour in 2019 after announcing his retirement a year before.

In a statement released by Nick Szatmari of Universal Attractions Agency, he revealed that the group would score the spotlight with Clinton aboard.

"George Clinton has singlehandedly done more to push music forward than any other artist I can recall. This tour represents that 'big tent' he's created that includes so many generations," he said.

The Parliament-Funkadelic Tour will receive support from different acts, including Pimps of Joytime, Dopapod, the Motet, the Floozies, and Tiny Universe Fishbone.

Clinton also shared the news on his Instagram page, revealing the One Nation Under a Groove tour dates.

George Clinton Previously Canceled Retirement!

Before the new tour happens, it is worth noting that Clinton already "un-retire" last year.

In 2021, he told Rolling Stone that he had changed his mind and that he would perform again at the age of 80.

"I'm gonna pull back from that. I feel good, you know. Got all my bloodwork done with the doctors and all that. I ain't got no problem. No meds... It's hello again. You're gonna have to drag me off," he said.

Clinton even said he would not mind if he ended up dying on stage.

After his announcement, he also confirmed at that time that a Verzuz episode was in the works starring himself and his then-touring version of Parliament-Funkadelic. In addition, he dropped his two P-Funk albums -- studio album called "Reaching For Litness" and a live release.

When he announced his retirement, he sparked concerns that his pacemaker surgery pushed him to make the decision. However, he once set the record straight and said that the procedure was not a factor at all.

With his return, Clinton would make his fans listen to his hit songs again. His catalog includes, Tear the Roof Off the Sucker (Give Up the Funk)," "One Nation Under a Groove," "I'm Gon Make You Sick O'Me," and "Flash Light."
