A$AP Rocky might be taking a detour before going directly home as he was reportedly arrested at LAX Wednesday morning because of an alleged altercation.

ASAP Rocky Arrested and Detained in LAX

As per Page Six, Rakim Mayers, popularly known as ASAP Rocky, landed in California coming from his highly publicized vacation in Barbados with his now-pregnant girlfriend, Rihanna.

More so, the "Praise the Lord" rapper was charged with assault with a deadly weapon and was taken into custody eventually.

The Los Angeles Police District arrested the 33-year-old rapper along with the Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Homeland Security Investigations team.

ASAP Rocky Arrested For A 2021 Shooting Incident

Apparently, ASAP Rocky has been under investigation by the Los Angeles Police District because of his alleged involvement in a shooting that transpired on Nov. 6, 2021.

According to the LAPD, an argument between "two acquaintances" escalated, with one of them eventually firing a handgun at the victim - who sustained a minor injury.

After the shooting, the police argued that the suspect and two other males fled the crime scene on foot - and they later identified Rocky to be one of the suspects.

No other additional information was disclosed to the public on what the argument was about, nor other leads on ASAP Rocky's arrest details.

However, this was not the first time ASAP Rocky was entangled in legal limbo.

ASAP Rocky Jailed After A Street Fight in Sweden

In 2019, the Harlem-born rapper got into a street fight with what he claimed to be "drug addicts" who had harassed him and his friends in Downtown Stockholm.

Rocky was in the country at the time for his two-day performance at the Smash x Stadion Music Festival with Georgia-based hip hop trio, Migos.

In the same week the fight happened, police authorities arrested ASAP Rocky, prompting him to cancel his performances in Norway and Poland and eventually his current tour.

Stockholm District Court charged the rapper with a lesser assault charge than the initial one, resulting in a month-long jail stint.

A thankful Rocky and other members of his crew were then released eventually after the judge decided to wait for the verdict at the time.

ASAP Rocky called the controversial arrest (a thing that then-President Donald Trump even noticed) a "very difficult and humbling experience."

Should he be again jailed on his current charges, he will be leaving a very pregnant Rihanna by herself. The two were also entangled in a drama last week, alleging the male rapper cheating on the superstar.
