After snagging her first GRAMMY award for "Kiss Me More," SZA is currently underway in releasing her sophomore album - and she dropped some hot new updates recently.

SZA has been teasing her fans for more than a year already, and with her recent update, it looks like she is about to come through in the coming months.

Sometime last year, SZA even thought of scrapping the entire thing she had been working with and starting again from scratch. However, it is not known if she really proceeded to do that or not.

In October 2021, the "I Hate U" hitmaker shut down a rumor that she planned on releasing her upcoming album on the same day that Summer Walker launched "Still Over It."

Despite shutting the gossip down, she did not provide any major update on her upcoming effort.

"[Now that the album] like ready to go, more than I've ever felt before. "So, this summer, it'll be like a...it'll be a SZA Summer," she said in an interview with Vogue.

The "Drew Barrymore" singer was embroiled in a brief drama with his label, Top Dawg Entertainment, as she revealed that the label had been "hostile" to work with - the reason why she can't release the follow-up to "Ctrl.".

She, later on, recanted this statement and reminded herself she "gotta be patient" and trust the people around her.

SZA's Upcoming Album Can Be Nominated for the 2023 GRAMMYS

With SZA's grand comeback this summer, her album might also be in the running for the 2023 GRAMMY Awards.

The 32-year-old songstress has been nominated for a GRAMMY 14 times but only managed to win one last month with her record-breaking song "Kiss Me More" with Doja Cat.

Her debut album, "Ctrl," was nominated in 2018 as Best Contemporary Album.

Two of her songs in the album, "The Weekend" and "Supermodel," were nominated for Best R&B Performance and Best R&B Song, respectively.

SZA was also nominated for Best New Artist in the same year but lost to Alessia Cara.
