Taylor Swift is debuting a new re-recorded single, and it's going to be released in a new Amazon TV Series!

Taylor Swift Releases New Re-Recorded Version of this '1989' Song

Swifties, celebrate! Tay-tay is releasing yet another "1989" re-recorded track from the vault, and it was as the main theme song for the Jenny Hahn novel turned Amazon Prime Video TV Series, "The Summer I Turned Pretty" trailer.

Released in 2014, the "1989" track "This Love" did not get that much attention because the other tracks in the album overshadowed it, including "Blank Space," "Bad Blood," "Style," and "Shake It Off," among others.

But this time, the underrated track might finally be getting the love it really deserves.

"This Love" marks Taylor Swift's second song from the "1989" album to be re-recorded again - the first one being "Wildest Dreams" after it trended on the video-sharing giant TikTok in September 2021.

The GRAMMY-award-winning singer finally teased a snippet of "This Love (Taylor's Version)" on the recently uploaded trailer of Jenny Han's "The Summer I Turned Pretty."

Swifties would not have to wait for much longer for the full version of "This Love (Taylor's Version)." as she will be releasing the whole track as a digital single tonight at midnight ET.

Taylor Swift '1989 (Taylor's Version)' When?

Despite being the second track in the 2014 album to be released as a separate single, Taylor Swift has not yet announced which among her albums get to be re-recorded first.

Chronologically speaking, Taylor should have released her self-titled debut album first, but she proceeded on reclaiming "Fearless" first. Upon anticipation of the next, fans thought that it would be "Speak Now," however, Taylor surprised everyone and released "Red."

"Red (Taylor's Version)" gave birth to the iconic "All Too Well (10 Minute Version)" that came with a short film.

If fans would still stick to this order, then it would be apparent that "1989" is next; but we still cannot rule out the re-released versions of "Taylor Swift" and "Speak Now" - after all, those two albums gave Taylor the breakthrough she needed and the further push she ought to have.

"The Summer I Turned Pretty" is set to hit Amazon Prime Video this Jun. 17, 2021. It is based on Jenny Han's Young Adult novel of the same title.
