Young Thug had another run-in with the law as he was arrested again for charges related to alleged gang criminal activity.

The 30-year-old rapper has been part of a massive indictment that involved a huge part of the gang he is a member of, including another chart-topping rapper.

Young Thug Arrested For Gang-Related Criminal Activity

Named Jeffery Lamar Williams, Young Thug is among the 28 people charged in a 56-count grand jury indictment that involved the alleged street gang YSL (Young Slime Life), which authorities believed to have been founded in 2012 in Atlanta.

NME reported that Young Thugs is speculated to have been one of the founding members of the allegedly violent gang.

Young Thug, along with 28 other members of the gang, has been charged on two counts - conspiracy to violate the state of Georgia's Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organisations (RICO) Act and participating in criminal street gang activity.

Prosecutors said that Williams' suspected gang activity took place on or between May 12, 2019, and May 8, 2022 - two days before the arrest. (via Sky News)

For context, Georgia's RICO Act was passed to prevent any individual who was involved in racketeering activities from acquiring or maintaining any interest in or control of any type of property or business.

Brian Steel, Young Thug's lawyer, argued that the rapper was "innocent" and shall be vindicated. "Mr. Williams has committed no violation of whatsoever. We will fight this case ethically, legally, and zealously. Mr. Williams will be cleared," he elaborated.

However, among the 28 people indicted was "Pushin P" hitmaker Gunna, who had been in the headlines in the earlier part of the year for going head to head with The Weeknd on releasing the first two albums of the year, "DS4EVER," and "Dawn FM," respectively.

But aside from gang-related activity, Young Thug was also allegedly involved in the attempted murder of his infamous rival, YFN Lucci, in jail.

Young Thug Wants YFN Lucci Killed in Jail?

WBSTV reported that two members of the YSL gang have apparently worked to get the permission of the GRAMMY-winning rapper to make a second attempt to murder YFN Lucci in jail.

The two rappers had a longstanding beef stemming from 2017 after Young claimed that he is the new "Tupac," prompting Lucci to fireback saying "Pac would've never wore a dress," along with a clown emoji.

Last January, YFN Lucci turned himself in to the police for murder charges; but in March, XXL Mag reported that he was stabbed in jail and is fearing for his life.

Both YFN Lucci and Young Thug are currently detained at Fulton County Jail.
