Britney Spears is opening up about her struggles following the heartbreaking news of her miscarriage, one month after she initially announced she was pregnant.
On Monday, the pop singer posted a Sex and the City meme depicting Carrie Bradshaw with heavy eye makeup and the caption, "I am not in the mood to be with a bunch of people."
Britney captioned the post and hinted what she fears would happen, "Unfortunately my mood these days ... I honestly hope it doesn't turn into years."
The 40-year-old singer, who revealed last month that she and fiancé Sam Asghari were expecting their first child together, shared the sad news via an Instagram post on Saturday.
"It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce that we have lost our miracle baby early in the pregnancy," the message read.
She said that this is an extremely difficult period for any parent and somehow regretted to have announced the news so early. She said they were too eager to spread the exciting news but it would have been more prudent to wait farther along before making the announcement.

The couple stated that they would continue trying to have another kid. Spears wrote that what they feel for each other is their greatest stregnth, and so they will use their affection for one another to continue growing their family. However, they want to have some privacy at the moment.
It appears though that Spears is not getting her requested privacy, hence the cryptic post.Sam, who also shared the statement on his account, remarked on Britney's status update: "We will soon experience a miracle (red heart emoji)"
Britney confirmed her pregnancy on her Instagram account last month through a post that did not hide her glee and excitement. She thought she just gained weight because of their recent trip, which led to Sam making a joke about her being food pregnant, and prompted her to get tested, leading to the discovery.
Britney has two sons, Jayden, 15, and Sean, 16, from her previous marriage to Kevin Federline.
The Toxic singer had been updating her Instagram followers on her pregnancy for the previous few weeks.
She mentioned her mood swings and food cravings in a recent blog post.
