A day after rumors broke out that Jesy Nelson's highly-anticipated debut album was apparently "delayed," the singer finally addressed the fishy allegations.

Nelson, who quit the girl group last December 2020, has promised that she would be releasing her debut album after releasing her debut single "Boyz" with Nicki Minaj last year.

Fans of the former "Little Mix" member have been waiting for the release of Nelson's album as she has constantly updated them through her social media accounts, specifically on Instagram, for the past months.

The Sun reported earlier that Jesy Nelson's debut album was "delayed" because music executives from Polydor Records, her label, were "unimpressed" with the early versions of the songs in the album.

Nelson's album was expected to drop around this time already, but with the new directives from the label, it might not be coming in the next few weeks.

With the comments, Nelson was instructed to go "back to the drawing board" to revisit her songs again.

As of this writing, there was no reported date on when Jesy Nelson's debut album will be released.

"The bosses felt sure there was potential there but they wanted her to go back to the drawing board. They felt the tracks would benefit from it - so that is what she has done. She is determined to only play them the new music when it's perfect, so they haven't heard any more since then," an insider told The Sun.

Sources close to Nelson have "high hopes" about the upcoming album, noting that she is "talented" as they were "excited" to hear more when she is ready.

As a response to the fishy allegations about her debut album, Jesy Nelson took to Instagram to address the situation once and for all.

Per Nelson, there is nothing to worry about in her upcoming music. She reveals that she had an amazing time in Los Angeles to work out her new album, which was "almost finished."

"I'm so excited for you all to hear the next single which is coming soon. So stay tuned. I love you all and thank you for being so patient x," she said in an Instagram story.
