Throughout the years, there has always been a debate on whose album among hip-hop legends and artists are the best among each other.

This conversation was revisited after Rolling Stone recently published their ranking of the 200 Greatest Hip-Hop Albums of All Time.

Fans of hip-hop and rap icons were in agreement for quite a long time that a particular album on the rankings is "undeserving" of its higher placement - as it has surpassed classic albums from the heavyweights.

Cardi B 'Invasion of Privacy' Rolling Stone Ranking Angers Hip-Hop Fans

Noting the albums that have "defined hip-hop history," Rolling Stone has put up a rather controversial ranking of albums from hip-hop legends and newbies in the music scene.

The recently-published ranking angered hip-hop fans who believe that albums like Nas' "Illmatic," Eminem's "The Marshall Mathers LP," and Dr. Dre's "The Chronic" deserved a higher placement.

The album they are pissed to have a higher ranking than those is Cardi B's 2018 album, "Invasion of Privacy."

Fans were not particularly angry about Cardi's inclusion on the coveted list, but more about how it outranked the classic hip-hop albums from Eminem, Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Kendrick Lamar, and 2Pac, among others on a ranking.

But despite the "questionable" placement, the Top 15 takers were almost undebatable.

Dr. Dre's "2001" is ranked at No. 13, while Drake's 2011 opus "Take Care" takes No. 11. "The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill" take its rightful spot at No. 10, as Wu-Tang Clan's 1998 masterpiece "Enter The Wu-Tang Clan" claims No. 8.

Kendrick Lamar's subversive "To Pimp A Butterfly" sits at No.5 while Jay-Z's "historically significant" "The Blueprint" is crowned No. 3.

The late Notorious B.I.G.'s revolutionizing "Ready To Die" ranked No. 1 on Rolling Stone 200 Greatest Hip-Hop Albums of All Time.

Cardi B 'Invasion of Privacy' Commercial Performance

While fans debate on the inclusion of "Invasion of Privacy" on the list, its commercial performance speaks for itself - if it would be based on sales alone.

Released in 2018 via Atlantic Records, "Invasion of Privacy" debuted atop the Billboard 200 charts after opening to 255,000 total album-equivalent units in its first week.

As of this writing, the Recording Industry Association of America has certified the record as triple platinum.
