Fans of the NBC singing program "The Voice" are already counting down the days until Blake Shelton returns to the red chair. Before that, the singer gets to celebrate his birthday first. Happy Birthday Blake! 

Blake Shelton Almost Fell Off a Cliff

On the newest season of the "The Voice," the country singer will be joined by his wife Gwen Stefani, John Legend, and newcomer Camila Cabello.

While people are accustomed to seeing Blake cause havoc on "The Voice," a video from last year was unearthed to give fans quite a shock. 

It all began when he posted a behind-the-scenes film of his music video for "Come Back as a Country Boy" in which he discussed slipping from a cliff.

"I think it's time to look into a stunt double for these videos..." he captioned a December 2021 TikTok video.

Although his statements did not provide any explanation for what he was alluding to, the clip showed heart-pounding footage of Blake almost falling. 

"We're shooting this big epic moment in the music video and Sophie [Muller] had the idea 'Hey, Blake! Why don't go stand on the edge of this giant 300-foot cliff with a waterfall, death fall down below you,'" he said. "The things I do for Sophie and my music videos."

The country superstar appeared to catch himself as he was ready to fall backward as he described the shot. "But I'm hoping it's going to turn out good. Well, I guess we'll see," he said further. Then, it appeared that Blake stumbled and caught himself a second time.

In May of 2016, Shelton released his tenth studio album, "If I'm Being Honest." The record, which debuted at number three on the US Billboard 200, went on to become a major success. It sold 153,000 copies in its first week on the market.
