Luke Bryan's last album, "Born Here Live Here Die Here," was released in 2020, and fans have been waiting for him to release new music for almost two years. Recently, the country star teased supporters about an upcoming project he's working on.

In an interview with Sirius XM's "The Highway," the 45-year-old singer said, "half of the project" is done, and he needed a couple of more months before releasing it.

The first song of his upcoming album "Country On" will be available on Friday (July 1).

He also teased fans that he's going to spend more time writing "a lot of music."

"We're working hard in the studio and then go in and cut some more songs. We've got several songs right now that we feel like can be singles," he added. (via Billboard)

Speaking about his new song, Bryan said it would bring a lot of unity as the track is all about different professions like truckers, bartenders, farmers, soldiers, and more.

"The title, 'Country On,' when you think about it on a T-shirt and everybody's saying, 'Country On.' When you're having a bad day, you know you can drink a beer and country on, it feels pretty good," he added.

He also noted that he loves the song's message because it uplifts hardworking people.
