Lil Tjay reportedly regained consciousness and is now in good condition after the shooting incident.
After days of lack of update, a new report confirmed that Lil Tjay is now on his road to recovery as his treatment continues.
Sources told a news outlet that the rapper is now awake and alert. He can now, reportedly, speak on his own after the doctors recently removed his breathing tube.
Far from what the previous reports about him being paralyzed and could not rap anymore, his voice purportedly sounds the same as before the incident happened.
The same insiders confirmed that he sustained gunshot wounds in the chest and neck area. But now that he is able to communicate, the police will soon speak with him to collect details about the shooting.
The news about his recovery came after his uncle and friend assured everyone that he had been doing well.
On Instagram, a fan asked Lil Tjay's uncle and CEO of 920 Agency Group, Quinn Smith, about the rapper after rumors about his alleged death and paralyzed status emerged.
"Man, listen. All these rumors and bullsh*t going on about my nephew unless you hear it from someone in the family or very close to him, don't believe sh*t. All you blogs looking for attention, your about to get some attention you don't want!!!!" Smith wrote.
He then replied to a fan that his nephew was "pulling through and going to be ok" after the shooting incident.
Meanwhile, his close friend, @trenchkid.marky, said that the rapper was great and doing good.
Who Shot Lil Tjay?
Los Angeles Times reported that the enforcement officials in New Jersey arrested the 27-year-old suspect Mohamed Konate.
According to a press statement released by the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office, he attempted to rob the rapper and two other men.
He is charged with attempted murder, armed robbery and weapons charges - among others - after harming Lil Tjay.

The police were informed of the situation by several 911 calls that reported the shots fired at 14 Promenade. The officers found Lil Tjay on the scene, who sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
"Update on #BCPONJ & @EdgewaterPolice investigation in Edgewater NJ shooting: per initial investigation, does not appear to be a random act and one victim upgraded from critical to stable condition. Other admitted to hospital with non-life threatening injuries in good condition," it assured at that time.
