Nolan Neal, a former "America's Got Talent" and "The Voice" competitor, has died.

The contestant died on Monday, according to a medical examiner, and the singer's cousin Dylan Seals disclosed the tragedy to TMZ.

Neal was discovered dead in his Nashville apartment, although no official cause of death has been established as of writing.

However, the gifted actor publicly discussed his previous difficulties with drug addiction.

Nolan Neal admitted to struggling with addiction while competing for "The Voice" in a 2020 interview.

On season 10 of the program, Neal was chosen to be on Adam Levine's team and advanced to the knockout round before being eliminated.

"I kind of lost my bearings on the voice and started drinking," Neal said.

He also mentioned that, in addition to that, he was dealing with his father's suicide death.

Neal told WBIR that he got clean in 2010, went to treatment, and stayed clean. But when he joined the rock band Hinder, the drinking and partying resumed. However, Neal did not hold the band responsible for their relapse.

"I had resolved to drink like a regular person. I recall attempting to be normal and fit in," he asserted.

"I recall walking into a pub and ordering a drink. I attempted to conceal it. I recall trying to act normal. I was deceiving myself, believing myself that I had control over it."

During his dramatic audition for "America's Got Talent," Nolan Neal performed "Lost," a song he composed about his addictions and even told the tragedy of his father's suicide. During that moment, the audience and all four judges gave the act a standing ovation.

He appeared on season 15 of the program and advanced to the quarter-finals, when he sang his own work "Send Me A Butterfly."

It took numerous efforts for the singer-songwriter to reach a point of happiness and health, and he continued to work on his songs and himself during that period.

On Tuesday, a Nolan Neal fan page commented about his death, expressing how they can't believe he's gone, with the caption, "Heaven just got a new music director."

"Meet you on the other side. Unfold your wings and let your halo shine. RIP you crazy diamond."

Nolan Neal was 41 years old.
