2022 is a big year for Harry Styles as his song "As It Was" dominated the charts for ten weeks, and his latest album "Harry's House," continues to dominate different parts of the world. Recently, the singer set another record for his song on a music streaming platform.

According to Uproxx, his lead song "As It Was" is not the fastest solo single to surpass one billion streams on Spotify.

Released on April 1, the track has been streaming for 118 consecutive days before amassing its achievement.

He was not the first artist to succeed in breaking the record; in fact, he's tied with one of 2021's biggest hits, "Stay" by The Kid Laroi and Justin Bieber.

The outlet noted that the song was released on July 9, 2021, and got a billion streams after 118 days.

In recent updates, Styles also got the biggest honor to be included in former US President Barack Obama's 2022 summer playlist.

Among the former leader's picks was his song "Music For A Sushi Restaurant."

Aside from the former One Direction member, artists like Beyoncè, Bad Bunny, Kendrick Lamar, Kacey Musgraves, Omar Apollo, and more are included in the playlist.

Not The First Record Harry Styles Broke This Year

Harry Styles made history early this year a few days after releasing "Harry Styles" as he surpassed his ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift's previous record in the modern era.

In early reports, the 28-year-old musician sold 146,000 copies of vinyl in the United States from May 20 to May 22.

The previous record holder was Taylor Swift, who sold 114,000 copies by November 18, 2021.

Her 2021 record "Red (Taylor's Version)" was one of the biggest albums last year, and it was the first project to amass the biggest vinyl sales for an album since Luminate began monitoring sales in 1991.
