Tommy Lee recovered from his rib injury months ago but fan-shot footage caught Motley Crue using baking track of the drums during one of their recent shows.

According to Loudwire, the rock band performed in Kansas City on July 19 and one fan captured the moment when the drummer missed a few beats while playing "Looks That Kill."

A pre-recorded audio can be heard in the video shared online during the abovementioned song and "Live Vire." (watch the video below)

The drummer had no drum sticks in his hand, but a cymbal count-in could be heard from the track before he even made his first move.

The outlet noted that the video appeared to be in sync with the audio because frontman Vince Neil's lip movement while singing the song matches the sound.

Lee has been playing a few songs every night since June 29.

The use of backing tracks in performance is very common in the industry, but many fans were divided on the issue.

One fan took to Twitter to express their thoughts on the situation, saying that they're glad not buying a ticket to a Motley Crue show.

"This is what you have said many times. They all get caught with their pants down. Glad I saved my money," one wrote.

As of this writing, neither Motley Crue nor Tommy Lee has commented on the matter.

The recent issue comes a month after the musician still performed in front of thousands of fans at the Truist Park in Atlanta, Georgia, despite having an injury.

Lee sustained four broken ribs and went against the advice of his doctors to recover from his medical condition.

In total, he played five songs ("Wild Side," "Shout at the Devil," "Too Fast for Love," "Don't Go Away Mad (Just Go Away)," and "Saints of Los Angeles") before leaving the stage.

He later took to Instagram to update his followers regarding his situation, saying he had been resting as doctors told him not to play the drums yet.

"You know I'm stubborn and I'll beast through the pain every show for as many songs I can!" he wrote.

To fill in his spot in the succeeding scheduled shows, he was temporarily replaced by Tommy Clufetos, Black Sabbath's drummer, for their final tour.
