JayDaYoungan has reportedly died. He was 24 years old.

According to the statements made by the Bogalusa Police Department in the state of Louisiana, the rapper, whose actual name is Javorious Scott, cause of death is due to the injuries he suffered from the gunshots.

His relative Kenyatta Scott Sr., who was also shot, lived through the ordeal despite his injuries. It has been stated that the medical staff at the other facility have been informed that his condition has remained unchanged since he was transferred there.

On Wednesday evening, just before 7 PM, the rapper who is famous for his tracks "Elimination" and "23 Island" was shot in the area of Superior Avenue.

During the incident, officers who arrived to the site reported that the victim, identified as JayDaYoungan, was transported to the emergency room of Our Lady of the Angeles Hospital.

Reportedly suffering from severe injuries, a second victim, Kenyatta, who was still there at the time of the incident received first care at the site from emergency medical services personnel before being taken to the hospital.

However, there was even another gunshot fired after the two victims were already wounded. It was stated that shots were fired into a car; however, none of the occupants of the vehicle were injured, and the police believe the incident may be related to the earlier shooting.

They are still investigating as of writing.

After the incident, what appears to be a member of the rapper JayDaYoungan's family shut down speculations that the musician had passed away.

However, once it was established that he had passed away, the same individual tweeted a message expressing their sorrow, complete with a broken heart emoji.

Following the news of the rapper's untimely passing, his devoted followerstook to social networking sites like Twitter to express their grief. One user said, "Damn rip Jaydayoungan.. I'm starting to get pretty worried about all of the talented rappers that we seem to be losing. I just dont get it. If I were to become successful, there is no way I would ever consider returning to my street life.

Another said, "Damn RIP to @JayDaYoungan guy I swear people nowadays have absolutely no regard for human life smfh." Jay DaYoungan was a Twitter user.

JayDaYoungan was an American rapper and musician. His successful tracks have been streamed more than 100 million times on Soundcloud since November 2020. JayDaYoungan passed away in 2020.
