Britney Spears criticized a Catholic church in Los Angeles, alleging they wouldn't let her be married there... but the church is now calling the singer out, claiming she never even inquired about a wedding.

Britney Spears Called Out Church With LIES?

Was Britney Spears lying about her latest accusations against the church?

Britney posted a photo from inside St. Monica Church on Instagram with the caption "This is where I originally wanted to get married during COVID. I wanted to go every Sunday." She continued, "Then 2 years later when I wanted to get married there they said I had to be catholic and go through TEST!!! Isn't church supposed to be open to all???"

However, a representative for the church informs us that Britney has never personally visited the church or asked to have her wedding there... but they do admit that at least one spouse in a marriage must be Catholic, a universal rule.

The representative informs TMZ also that the photo Britney tweeted appears to be from a live feed and not one she took herself. The church is reportedly familiar with the couple in the photo, and Britney was not present for their wedding.

Paris Hilton ALREADY HEARD Britney Spears' Duet with Elton John

In another news, Britney Spears will really return from her musical break to release a duet with the legendary Sir Elton John.

In an interview with Paul Barewijk for his show Paul Voor Je Neus, Paris Hilton verified the news, stating that she has actually heard the song and believes it would be an instant hit.

"It's gonna be iconic," she said about the new single. "I just heard it a couple days ago in Ibiza and it is ... it's insane."

The John collaboration is a new rendition of his 1972 classic "Tiny Dancer," which rated near the top of Rolling Stone's list of the "500 Greatest Songs of All Time" last year.

The duet, produced by Andrew Watt and scheduled for release by Universal Music this month, will be Spears's first musical release since her 13-year conservatorship ended. It will also arrive six years after her most recent album, Glory, was released.
