Lil Tjay's friend disclosed that the rapper was 99 percent back to normal before the news about his hospital discharge emerged.

Updates about Lil Tjay came out in the days leading to his hospital discharge, while fans remained worried about his status. Most recently, one of his friends shared that he was already back to normal before his recent outing.

On Twitter, Mehgan James shared the good news about the rapper who suffered gunshot wounds during the June's shooting incident.

"Spoke to my dawg today . My boy 99% back to normal !!!!! And full of jokes lmafo !!!!! God is soo good," she wrote.

A screenshot of the post has since been posted on Reddit, where fans immediately celebrated the rapper's recovery.

Some of them still could not believe that he survived the near-fatal incident. Others, meanwhile, rejoiced as the "king of New York" is back.

The online celebration came out after HipHopDX disclosed that he was already discharged from the hospital, where he spent more than a month since the shooting incident.

Akademiks shared a photo of the rapper, which was also uploaded by James on her post, showing Lil Tjay smiling in a car while on a FaceTime call with his friends.

"They saying lil tjay out of the hospital," the rapper captioned the post.

It became his first-ever photo since he and his team remained silent all throughout his hospital stay.

Lil Tjay "Doing Well" After Shooting Incident

The good news came out after a separate Twitter user said that the rapper was "up and doing well."

"We live in a Cruel world filled with jealousy and Envy @liltjay is a big talented rapper, enemies want him gone but Glory be to God @liltjay has recovered and 10 x strong rapper @liltjay is G.O.A.T," the caption said.

The user added that he saw Lil Tjay finally looking good, taking away fans' worries.

This resonated with the update given by Fivio Foreign during his appearance at Rolling Loud. At that time, he disclosed that he had already spoken to Lil Tjay over the phone. He also assured the crowd that he continues to make a "healthy recovery."

Lil Tjay sustained gunshot wounds following 27-year-old suspect Mohamed Konate's attempted robbery on Jun. 22. Meanwhile, the New Jersey Herald confirmed that a judge denied the suspect's request for an initial release for medical treatment.
