Drake lauds Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj as the greatest rappers of all time, and in Minaj's case, he appears to be throwing some shade at her peers, such as Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion.

Drake was playing in Toronto on Saturday as part of the Young Money Reunion Tour, and he took several moments throughout his set to honor Lil Wayne, who is credited with discovering him and Nicki Minaj and launching their careers.

Drizzy lavishes Lil Wayne with praise and adoration, and Wayne simply stands there and absorbs it like a humble artist that he is.

As for Minaj, he also refers to her as the greatest, although in the context of female rap. In her case, he scoffs at the concept that other female rappers are even comparable, stating that Minaj is the pioneer and the best to ever do it. Clearly, this is also controversial.

Obviously, this is Drake's perspective, but it is a compelling justification for Wayne's position. Some claim that Jay-Z or Nas are the greatest rappers of all time, but Champagne Papi disagrees. As for his perspective on Minaj, there's no denying there's some truth to what he is saying. Minaj was hailed as the best female rapper there is for some time, but not after some female artists came out to say her work is not comparable to theirs.

There have been numerous female rappers before Nicki who have led the way, and some say that Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion, to name a couple, may be the next in line to ascend to the throne.

While Drake might not really be shunning CardI B or anyone else, one cannot help but assume Cardi B would be affected by this. There is some beef between Minaj and Cardi B in the past, after all.

The altercation between Nicki Minaj and Cardi B occurred on September 7, 2018, during New York Fashion Week and few can ever  forget that.

For those unfamiliar, here is a brief history: Cardi B reportedly became unhappy with Minaj after learning that the "Barbie Tingz" rapper had criticized her parenting skills, according to multiple sources.

A footage of Cardi B ranting and lunging at an individual thought to be Minaj emerged. Shoes were hurled. It was a mountain of drama that tabloids and social media users devoured the following day and for days thereafter. What began as a media-created conflict between the two rappers gradually transformed into something genuine.

There wasn't always animosity between Minaj and Cardi B, however. In fact, around this time last year, Minaj officially complimented Cardi B on "Bodak Yellow's" number one status.
