Travis Scott's first headline solo performance, nine months after the tragic events at Astroworld Festival, seems to be a huge letdown.

The "Goosebumps" rapper performed at the O2 Arena in London on Aug. 6, and was almost overshadowed by his pyrotechnics.

However, the rapper also teased new music at the concert, performing unreleased tracks "God's Country," a song featuring Kanye West, and "Lost Forever," featuring James Blake and Westside Gunn. The tracks are said to be included in Scott's upcoming album "Utopia."

Aside from new music, the "Sicko Mode" rapper also performed his other hit tracks, including "Mafia," "Way Back," "Butterfly Effect," "Rock"  and "Mamacita," Escape Plan," "Highest in the Room," and "Sicko Mode," leaving fans exhilarated and hyped. Totaling his setlist to 23 tracks.

Known for his energy during live performances, Scott demands the crowd's attention, causing them to go wild and rage, as his fans are aptly known as "ragers." However, this also caused the tragedy at the Astroworld festival in 2021, causing the deaths of 10 individuals and injuring many.

This event left fans reeling, as it was the first crowd-control disaster at a concert since 1979. Over 5,000 individuals were present at the Astroworld festival in 2021. It caused major backlash and uproar from fans and advocates.

Since then, Scott has maintained a low profile, and this two-day sold-out concert at O2 Arena marks his return to the limelight, albeit criticized as lackluster and underwhelming, as reviewed by The Guardian.

Travis Scott, whose birth name is Jacques Bermon Webster II, is from Houston, Texas. He rose to prominence with his hit tracks "Butterfly Effect." "Sicko Mode," and "Goosebumps," and various collaborative works with artists and rappers like Kanye West, Big Sean, 2 Chainz,1975, Justin Bieber, Quavo, and The Weeknd.

He is set to release his fourth studio album "Utopia," following "Astroworld," his third studio album. In their review, The Guardian recognizes how Scott performed his unreleased tracks to introduce audiences to his upcoming album. However, also noted that there is "not much in the way of new material."

The album has been under production since 2019, seeing producers from the likes of Kanye West, OZ, Mike Dean, Teddy Walton, James Blake, and Aaron Bow. Some speculated that the album will include collaborations with 21 Savage, Bryson Tiller, and Swae Lee.

Scott has been nominated for nine Grammy Awards and won best short form music video at the Latin Grammy Award for "TKN" with Rosalia. He also won best hip hop for "Franchise," featuring Young Thug and M.I.A. at MTV Video Music Award for best hip hop.
