Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson Through the Years

Dolly Parton and Willie Nelson are undoubtedly two of the most notable names in the music industry.

According to Showbiz Cheatsheet, the pair has been friends since the 1960s. In a previous interview, the "Islands in the Stream" songstress said they have so many similar traits and she loves him so much.

One of the reasons why their friendship took off was because of their careers as they started getting popular almost at the same time.

"We used to hang out a lot together, different people. Even Kristofferson back in those days! We all knew each other, and we used to sit around and write different songs," she said.
