Lil Tjay's shooter, who apparently shot the rapper a total of 7 times, stil can get off scot free if his legal camp was to prove that there is NO evidence tying him to the crime scene.

In a shocking turn of events, the attorney is arguing that there were no weapons tying his client to the shooting of rapper Lil Tjay in Edgewater. In the meantime, even with this defense, the suspect, Mohammed Konate, remains in prison.

 

Meanwhile, the 21-year-old Bronx, New York rapper Lil Tjay has begun his path to recovery, starting from June 29. However, his real condition - whether he's reverting back to his old self, or just starting to talk - remains unclear. What is clear is that he is out of the hospital and might be part for the Rolling Loud New York lineup in September. His name can be seen in the poster for the event.

When Konate's mug shot was released to the public, it was immediately feasted on. The fact that he might escape this alleged crime can certainly be enraging. 

According to TMZ, the rapper born Tione Jayden Merritt is now attentive and awake, even speaking on his own, sounding the same as he did prior to the horrific near-fatal shooting that occurred in New Jersey on June 22.

The the physicians have removed his breathing tube. DJ Akademiks even released a video to Instagram on July 4 showing the rapper who defied odds, speaking with friends or family via video chat from the hospital.

"Apparently this is a video of lil tjay in the hospital," the YouTuber captioned the clip. When he became conscious, authorities immediately wanted to know what transpired the morning he was shot.

The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office reported gunshots at an Edgewater Chipotle located in a residential retail complex. In response to a 911 call, the Edgewater Police Department discovered Lil Tjay suffering from several gunshot wounds. Antoine Boyd, age 22, was discovered at a gas station approximately one mile from the Chipotle.

According to the officials, he sustained a single gunshot wound. According to investigators, Mohamed Konate, 27, "attempted to commit armed robbery" against Tjay and two other individuals present during the rapper's performance. On June 23, Konate was arrested on three counts of attempted murder, three counts of armed robbery, and additional weapon-related offences.

However, because he was shot too, he was hospitalized up until he recovered fairly and now detained in the famous prison Riker's Island.
