Sunny Sweeney just released a new song in collaboration with Vince Gill and it revolves around the topic of a rocky relationship and an honest take on the reality of marriage.

According to Taste of Country, the duo dropped the song "Married Alone," the title track of Sweeney's personal upcoming album.

The song, which was written amid the songstress' breakup, was co-produced by Paul Cauthen and Beau Bedford.

Explaining the meaning behind the heartbroken song, the singer said she just came out of "a sticky divorce" and everything felt raw. She also expressed her emotions as not only she "heard" the words, but also felt them.

Upon writing the title track, Sweeney said her first instinct was to collaborate with a male singer so she immediately contacted Gill.

Since she already made her mind up, the singer said she wouldn't team up with other male artists if Gill wasn't available.

Fortunately, the singer was up for the task and they recorded the song together.

"Married Alone" featured the pair's emotional vocals which are perfect for the song as it heavily revolved around the raw and harsh reality of what happens to a marriage when it's nearing the end.

Expressing her gratitude to the singer, Sweeney said she's "eternally grateful" for Gill as he agreed to collaborate with her.

She believes that his "gorgeous voice" pushed the song to another level.
