Nicki Minaj is back with her pink doll and barbie aesthetic as she started a new era with a new song and a music video after snagging this year's MTV Video Music Awards' Video Vanguard Award. With a new album reportedly in the works, the rap royalty's latest visuals bring major nostalgia to OG Barbz.

According to Uproxx, the latest music video was set in a neighborhood full of doll houses.

Even though her character in the video appeared to be a barbie doll, her intentions aren't pure as she caused menace around the area. (watch the full music video below)

Since the Ken dolls within the neighborhood can't get enough of her bodacious body and revealing pink outfits, it gave her a chance to ruin their lives by threatening them with scissors, a knife, pink fire, and a car.

Directed by Joseph Kahn, the video also featured "Hunger Games" actor and heartthrob Alexander Ludwig.

2022 is Nicki Minaj's Year

After the release of "Super Freaky Girl" last month, it immediately topped the charts and became one of the most-streamed songs on several music platforms like Spotify and Apple Music.

Her latest song is her first success in almost a decade since "Anaconda," which placed number two on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2014.

The track also made history as it was the first hip-hop song by a woman to reach a billion views on YouTube.

To celebrate her big comeback in the music scene, Minaj performed a medley of her hit tracks at this year's MTV Video Music Awards.

Some of the songs included in her almost-10-minute set are "All Things Go" from her album "Pinkprint," "Roman's Revenge" from her debut album "Pink Friday," her celebrity-favorite rap song "Monster," and "Beez In The Trap."

Later in the performance, she performed her smash hits "Moment 4 Life," "Super Bass" which made Taylor Swift dance and sing along, and "Anaconda," before concluding with her recent song "Super Freaky Girl."

Aside from receiving the biggest honor in the history of VMAs, she also co-hosted the show alongside Jack Harlow and LL Cool J.

Minaj's fans, popularly known as Barbz, presented the Video Vanguard Award later that evening.

During her acceptance speech, the rapper expressed her gratitude to numerous artists who significantly contributed to her career like Beyoncé, Rihanna, Mariah Carey, Lauryn Hill, Lil Wayne, and many more.
