The Backstreet Boys are set to release their first-ever Christmas album in a few months and fans can't wait to hear their rendition of jolly holiday tracks. Recently, the band revealed that one of the members of their rival boyband actually inspired one song from the record; who could this be?

In an interview with Variety, AJ McLean revealed that his bandmate Nick Carter wanted one particular song from "A Very Backstreet Christmas" to be inspired by Justin Timberlake's "Can't Stop the Feeling" because the track has a "happy and funky vibe."

He added that it's funny because many people have been comparing Backstreet Boys and NSYNC over the years, but what the public didn't know is they're all about "good songs and good movies."

Carter added that Timberlake's film "Trolls" was a movie that they watched a lot with their children.

Revealing the title of the song, Carter said they wrote "Happy Days" which has the same feel as "Can't Stop the Feeling."

"Justin wrote a really great song and we wanted to write a happy, uplifting song that had the same feel, especially with the way the world is right now," he added. (via iHeart)

Backstreet Boys Christmas Album to be Released This October

Aside from the song mentioned above, the band will also add classic holiday songs to their tracklist like "Winter Wonderland" and "White Christmas."

They already released the first song from the album, a cover of "Last Christmas."

Speaking about the album, McLean said the record will feature their group in their truest form as it's very "mature" and their vocals sound incredible.

"It's the best we've sounded as a group in years. My wife's like, 'This will be on repeat in our house.' She starts playing Christmas music in July," he joked.

This summer, the boyband surprised fans by announcing their first Christmas album, saying it took them almost 30 years to create.

"A Very Backstreet Christmas" will be released on October 14. The upcoming holiday record is currently available for pre-order on their official website.

13 songs are included in their official tracklist, three of which are originals while the remaining are covers of classic hits.

In addition, they collaborated with Target to release a special edition that will contain bonus tracks including "It's Christmas Time Again" and "Feliz Navidad."
