English superstar Ed Sheeran arrived at Formula 1 US Grand Prix tarmac in Austin, Texas, ready to give the crowd a show-stopping performance, just as one would expect from the 31-year-old.

The concert was also extra-special for him because it marked his first US show in years, the singer revealed during his set, "this is my first show in America in four years."

According to reports, it will also mark his first show in Austin in five years. His last appearance in the city was back in 2017 for the taping of the TV show, "Austin City Limits."

Sheeran has enjoyed touring the world on several instances, however, it came to a screeching halt when he announced his semi-retirement in August 2019. Thankfully, the "Thinking Out Loud" singer reconsidered and has since released a new album and is embarking on a world tour.

Fan Favorites

Sheeran did not disappoint when he crafted the setlist for his show at the highly anticipated event. He had a 15-track setlist that consisted of several fan-favorite songs across his five albums.

He began his set with "Castle on the Hill," a song off his fourth album, "÷," which is read as "divide." The succeeding songs include "Shivers," "I'm a Mess," "The A Team," "2step," "Don't/No Diggity," and "Overpass Graffiti."

He began performing his hit songs towards the end of his set, which included "Thinking Out Loud," "Sing," "Bloodstream," "Photograph," "Perfect," "Shape of You," "Bad Habits," and "You Need Me, I Don't Need You."

According to reports, prior to his performance, the singer was seen mingling with different guests, racers, and others.

He was photographed with Geri Halliwell, better known as Ginger Spice of the Spice Girls, and her husband Christian Horner, the principal of Red Bull Racing.

He was also welcomed by Formula 1 Group's CEO, Stefano Domenicali, and met world champion Max Verstappen and his race engineer Gianpiero Lambiase.

Safe to say, it seemed like the "Shape of You" singer had a blast during his rounds and performance.

Star Studded

Following the rise of F1, came a massive wave of fans and supporters eager to watch both the race and other activities that happened before and after it.

This year, Formula 1 raised the stakes for fans by inviting a star-studded concert lineup. Aside from Sheeran, several other big names reportedly graced the F1 stage, including Post Malone, DJ Diesel or better known as NBA player Shaquille O Neal, and American rock band Interpol.

The event was well-attended by fans and celebrities alike. The Daily Mail spotted a myriad of celebs and artists posing with the racers and the iconic F1 racing cars.

Tennis superstar Serena Williams was in attendance, as well as Brad Pitt, Brooklyn Beckham, Pharrell Williams, Lewis Hamilton, and Madison Beer, among others.
