Zen

In December 2021, the 42-year-old opened up about Zen's passing on his daytime talk show, and the struggle and grief that came with it.

According to reports, after Zen was born, doctors found fluid inside his head, as well as a malignant tumor that required surgery. Although in the beginning, they were hopeful, they "carried on," and just embraced every moment that had left with him. Their son passed away after only five months after his birth.

"Zen's mom, Alyssa, was just the strongest woman I've ever seen," Cannon said. "Never had an argument, never was angry. Was emotional when she needed to be, but always the best mom and continues to be the best mom."

Following the death of Zen, Cannon and Scott launched the Zen's Light Foundation. Their mission is to "foster global excellence in hope, grief-care, and pediatric healthcare for families and children in need," reports say.

Zen was Cannon's seventh child. He shares twins with his ex-wife Mariah Carey, Monroe and Moroccan; with Brittany Bell, he fathered two sons and a daughter. He also shares twins with Abby De La Rosa, and is expecting another child with her. Cannon has a son with Bre Tiesi, and a daughter with La Nisha Cole.
