In a remarkable turn of events, Kanye West's Donda Academy reopened its doors mere hours after announcing its closure, and this time "with a vengeance."

Parents and students of Donda received an email about midnight on Wednesday that read, "Join us tomorrow morning in worship for the return of Donda Academy.

With the help of our parents and community, we are back and returning with a vengeance!" The email continues, "The children of Donda are going to change the world. Apologies for the late email! See you bright and early!" Considering that an email announcing the shutdown was issued to Donda students almost four hours earlier, this must have come as a surprise.

This email stated, "At the discretion of our Founder, Donda Academy will close for the remainder of the 2022-2023 school year effective immediately ... THERE IS NO SCHOOL TOMORROW."

It's unclear why there's a sudden, quick change.

A small Christian school tucked away in a conservative Los Angeles suburb offers an unaccredited education that the proprietor claims can "really make your children into geniuses."

Kanye West, also known as Ye, who is 45 years old, founded Donda Academy in November 2021, although in September he claimed he had never read a book since "reading is like eating Brussels sprouts."

West stated last month on Good Morning America that the school's directors, some of whom have limited education background, might transform children into "geniuses," although he admitted that he does not enroll his own children.

Since its opening in the secluded community of Simi Valley, the rapper and designer has answered few media questions about the school, which requires a signed NDA to attend. However, he told GMA that the academy equips students with the "practical tools they'll need in a world after the iPhone was invented." West said that 82 pupils are now enrolled.

According to the school's website, although it was originally registered with the state of California as a kindergarten through eighth grade academy, it now offers classes to students in pre-K through 12th grade in honor of West's late mother, Donda West, who spent decades teaching English at Chicago State University.

According to their website, students attend daily, school-wide worship sessions led by teachers before beginning their studies in English, mathematics, and science. After lunch, which Slam Magazine claims is periodically prepared by Ye's personal chef, students can choose from a variety of "enrichment" classes, such as filmmaking, singing in a choir, and even parkour.

Following his antisemitic comments in interviews and on social media, Kanye West is facing backlash. Both Adidas and Balenciaga have severed ties with the controversial rapper because of his "hateful and dangerous" remarks.

Many of his celebrity contemporaries have spoken out against his actions. West's most recent incident occurred when he and conservative commentator Candace Owens both donned "White Lives Matter" t-shirts to Paris Fashion Week. After receiving online criticism, West (now legally known as Ye) began posting antisemitic conspiracy theories on Instagram, including an accusation that rapper Diddy was under Jewish influence. West threatened to inflict "death con 3 on Jewish people" after his account was terminated.
