Charlie XCX and Lorde almost went as each other for Halloween.
In the wide world of celebrity culture, the world always gets excited to find a doppleganger or two. ONe such doppleganger-ship is the case between music icons Charlie XCX and Lorde. In a previous television interview, the star shared how fans frequently mistake her for the Green Light singer. In a recent interview with NME, Charlie XCX shared that it has become something of an inside joke among her fans. They will now come to her concerts holding signs, jokingly asking her to take on some of Lorde's songs.
We love to see stars joining in on their own jokes. Charlie XCX teased the idea of potentially going as Lorde for Halloween, and Lorde was in on it.
It was a brilliant costume idea that would have been sure to win over both her fans and the guests at any Halloween party she would set foot in. Of course, even with this hypothetical idea, she wanted to be sure that Lorde thought this costume was as funny as she did. When she told Lorde, she was more than fine with it! She wanted to join in! In Charlie XCX's interview with NME, she shared: "I didn't want it to seem like I was trolling, so I actually texted Lorde. And I was like, 'Hey, I'm thinking about being you for Halloween, it's all a good vibe, how do you feel about it?'...And she was like, 'Yeah, great. I'll just be you.' Then we both realised we're as lazy as each other when it comes to putting effort into Halloween. We'll just park the idea for a year when we can be bothered, but the thought was there. It's definitely a break the internet moment." Fingers crossed that some year soon this comes to life for real!
