Taylor Swift's latest studio album "Midnights" is setting the internet on fire as it became one of the most talked-about records over the past few days , and it even broke Spotify as some fans weren't able to stream the song due to high demand. Today, the pop star officially dethroned her rumored ex-boyfriend for another record.

According to Billboard, the latest album broke the record for single-week vinyl album sales in the modern era in the United States after selling a whopping 575,000 copies of vinyl LPs.

The singer now holds the record for the largest week for an album on vinyl since 1991 as Luminate started tracking music sales.

The previous record-holder was her rumored ex-boyfriend, Harry Styles, with his album "Harry's House" that reportedly sold 146,000 copies only three days after its release (May 20 to 22). In total, it sold 182,000 during its first week.

It appears that Swift got her title back as she holds the record prior to the former One Direction member with her album "Red (Taylor's Version)" which sold over 114,000 copies by November 18, 2021.

Initially, the album would only have 13 songs, but three hours after it dropped, fans were surprised as Swift also released a deluxe edition called "3am Edition" that has seven bonus tracks.
