It seems like Kelly Clarkson has a singular theme for Halloween this year-grungy, spooky rockstar. In celebration of the spooky season, the singer-songwriter hosted her talk show, "The Kelly Clarkson Show" dressed in a "ghostly Stevie Nicks" costume.

Clarkson sported the signature Stevie Nicks locks, partnered with a tattered white dress with a golden cape; and to bring the Halloween feels to the next level, the entire set of the show was transformed into a campfire, where all the scary stories are usually told.

She was not the only one in costume for the show. She was reportedly accompanied by "Ghosts" stars Rose McIver and Loni Love, who were dressed as Wednesday Adams and Aaliyah's "Queen of the Damned" character.

"That's how exciting Halloween is for us on this show," Clarkson said after performing a cover of "Monster Mash."

"It is a true monster mash-up here. We love that song, so we thought we'd reimagine it a little bit. We had a lot of fun with it."

Elsewhere in the talk show, the 40-year-old singer-songwriter traded in her Stevie Nicks fit for a more comfortable and grungier fit as she performed for one of her show's segments, "Kellyoke."

The "American Idol" winner is known to sing some rock songs from time to time, and her voice sure does fit the bill of what is expected of a rockstar.

She surprised fans as she performed rock band Soundgarden's 1994 hit song "Black Hole Sun."

The "Since U Been Gone" singer paid tribute to Chris Cornell, the lead vocalist of the rock band, who died by suicide in 2017, and she did not disappoint.

Cornell's distinct vocal range is one that usually keeps singers away, but this was a challenge Clarkson did not shy away from.

According to reports, this is not the first time the "Breakaway" singer performed a rock song. In previous episodes, she has covered songs like "The Middle" by Jimmy Eats World, "Ain't It Fun" by Paramore, "Jumper" by Third Blind Eye, and more.

For her Soundgarden cover, she traded in her Stevie Nicks costume for a more comfortable checkered polo top and loose black dress. The Stevie Nicks curls were tucked away in braids.

Fans React

Fans were in awe of Clarkson's vocal range and performance. Several commended her in the comments section of the performance, which was uploaded on YouTube.

"One of the greatest female vocalists paying tribute to one of the 90s best male vocalists. RIP Chris Cornell," a fan wrote.
