"My Policeman," Harry Styles' most recent movie, is already available on Amazon Prime.

After the recent release of "Don't Worry Darling," fans of the former One Direction member are eager to see him in another film.

However, here's what reviewers are saying about the popstar-turned-performance actor's in the film, which is based on a novel.

What Is 'My Policeman' About?

Bethan Roberts' novel "My Policeman" is about a love triangle in 1950s Britain and addresses themes about loyalty, identity, and tales.

Tom (Harry Styles), a police officer, falls in love with Marion, a teacher (Emma Corrin). Despite the fact that homosexuality is outlawed, Tom subsequently has a passionate same-sex affair with a museum curator named Patrick (David Dawson).

Tom instead opted to marry a lady in order to retain his respectability.

As of this writing, the film has a 41% on Rotten Tomatoes and a 6.6 on IMDb.

They feel it would be better with a more experienced actor than him and have observed how hesitant and frightened the "Watermelon Sugar" hitmaker appears to portray the role, as seen beside Emma and David's varied work.

Unsure of His Ability

The Guardian said that while Harry Styles look like the handsome movie star he's being pushed, "he's all construct and no conviction, a performer as unsure of his ability as we are."

They even said, "There's a crucial dissonance between the confidence he exudes on stage and the awkwardness we see on screen, a star fizzling out right before our very eyes, as uncomfortable for us as it appears to be for him."
