Following a tumultuous and often tragic family life, Aaron Carter was discovered dead at his California home earlier today.

The rapper, whose brother is Nick Carter of the Backstreet Boys, was only 34 years old when his body was discovered following a 911 call at 11 a.m., according to his agents.

Aaron's relationship with his siblings was difficult throughout his life, and many of their conflicts were broadcast on social media.

In 2019, Nick, age 42, said on Twitter that he and his sister Angel Carter had filed a restraining order against Aaron, alleging that Aaron had threatened to kill Nick's pregnant wife and unborn child.

Nick wrote that his sister Angel and him regret having to obtain a restraining order against their brother Aaron today after due deliberation.

It appears that the two did not reconcile before this catastrophe occurred. Aaron Carter has already stated that he no longer wishes to maintain a relationship with Nick.

Nick stated that he and his sister arrived to the conclusion due to Aaron's "increasingly frightening behavior."

He continued that they had no choice but to take every precaution to save themselves and their family.

The celebrity stated that he still loved Aaron and hoped that Aaron would receive assistance.

Aaron responded to the restraining order through Twitter that he and @NickCarter are finished forever. He said the last time he saw him was back in 2015 and he no longer intended to see him anymore.

In the same year, Aaron accused his sister Leslie, who had died of a heroin overdose in 2012, of sexual abuse.

The claimed abuse began when he was 10 and lasted until he was 13 years old. Aaron stated that it would occur if Leslie failed to take her prescribed bipolar disorder medication. There have been no public statements from the Carter family rejecting or verifying these charges.

Nick Carter, is at this time, on tour with Backstreet Boys. He is yet to react to this tragedy. Unlike Aaron Carter, he never closed doors to reconciling with his younger brother. But it is too late now.

Throughout the years, the singer and actor has been open about his struggles with substance abuse, including on a 2017 episode of The Doctors. In an effort to regain custody of his kid, he reported entering treatment for the eighth time in September 2022.

In 2017, he attended rehab after being arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and marijuana possession.
