Ed Sheeran is continuing break records on the UK charts.
It has been an incredibly exciting time for Ed Sheeran and Ed Sheeran fans. Just recently, the star came out and teased a new album that is in the works. Almost no details have been given about the upcoming album, but he gave the fans enough fodder to fuel their Ed Sheeran obsessed fires.
He shared this news through a video he took while standing on the set of a new music video from the newly teased, upcoming album. He decided to make this announcement in celebration of the fact that his song Shivers had reached 1 billion streams on Spotify.
Now, more exciting news is coming from the singer-songwriters direction.
Ed Sheeran has become the first artist in history to have four different albums included in the Official Albums Chart 10 for the year in the UK. The four albums that have allowed Sheeran to attain this record-breaking feat include Plus, Multiply, Divide, and Equals. According to an article on Billboards, Simon and Garfunkel have been the only other music group ever to have more than one albums on this impressive list. With his incredible writing and musical talent, we cannot say we are surprised. Congratulations to Ed Sheeran! We can't wait to see what record he is going to break next.
