Offset was busy preparing his sophomore solo album when news about the death of Takeoff broke out; and despite the silence and feud between the remaining Migos members and the rapper, Offset was more than willing to honor his cousin in more ways than one.

According to reports, Offset is placing his highly-anticipated album on the back burner while the entire world and rap community mourn the loss of Takeoff.

A screenshot of a private conversation with the rapper was shared on social media. It read: "It's probably the last thing on your mind, but is your album still dropping Friday? [sic]"

The Georgia native simply replied, "no, pushed back."

Before

Prior to Takeoff's death, many questioned whether Migos has disbanded earlier this year, as Offset had begun working on his solo projects and the remaining members, Quavo and Takeoff, worked on theirs.

Quavo and Takeoff even went by a new moniker, Unc and Phew, and even went on to release new music under their new name.

"Hotel Lobby," their first release as a duo, raised some eyebrows, as fans noted the absence of the third Migos member, Offset. The rumors continued as the duo released another single without Offset, "Us Vs. Them."

However, there was no official word on whether they have disbanded or not. In October, Quavo and Takeoff released "Only Built for Infinity Links," their first-and last-album as a duo.

Meanwhile, Offset had previously announced that his second solo album, "Blame It On Set," was coming out on Nov. 11.

Tribute

According to reports, after Takeoff's death, Offset changed his Instagram profile picture to an image of his cousin.

It was a dated photo of the late rapper. He was grinning for the camera and it had a little white heart emoji at the top right side of the picture.

Reports noted that Takeoff's funeral is scheduled for Nov. 11, the same date as Offset's album drop.

It will take place at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia, his hometown. The funeral is expected to be well-attended by fellow artists, friends, and family of the deceased rapper. It had been reported that Justin Bieber will perform at the ceremony.

Earlier this month, Takeoff was reportedly shot at a private bowling alley in Texas. He was born Kirsnik Khari Ball, and was the youngest member of Migos. Quavo was his uncle and Offset was his cousin.
